If you have been a student at one of the VCCS Colleges for more than 3 business days you should be in our student database. The default password (PIN#) for all of our secured systems is your birth date (The Pin # is your six-digit birthday (MMDDYY) entered without dashes or spaces - Example: January 1, 1987 would be 010187)

Once you have logged into the system for the first time, you MUST change your password. You will be transferred to the 'change password' screen upon logging in.

Our secure systems include (note: The default password [PIN#] for all four is your birth date but user IDs differ.)

• GCC Online (Student Information System)
• Blackboard
• VIVA
• VCCS/GCC Email account

How to access your accounts

1. You must be currently enrolled in at a VCCS College
2. Go to https://gcc.my.vccs.edu/
3. Enter your userId (click "Look it up" below field if you don't know your userID)
4. Enter your password (by defaulty our birthdate MMDDYY)
5. Select Login

How to change your password in all four systems

1. You must be currently enrolled in at a VCCS College
2. Go to https://gcc.my.vccs.edu/jsp/changePass.jsp
3. Enter your current password.
4. Enter your New PIN# (password) and enter the new password again in the box labled "Retype new password."
5. Select Submit

1. It will take between 2 and 3 hours before your new password will work when logging into Blackboard, you can continue to use your old password until the password is changed in Blackboard.
2. Your SIS (Student Database) password is instantly changed to this new password
3. Your password in VIVA is instantly changed to this new password
4. Your @email.vccs.edu password is instantly changed to this new password.
