| Many instructors use Blackboard for its assessment and survey capability. Here are a few important things to remember when taking a Blackboard test.

- Single click to access the test. If you double click, you will get locked out of the test and it will need to be reset.
- Some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) automatically terminate your connection after 15 minutes. Open the internet in a second window to "surf" the net periodically during your test. Do not close the testing window.
- Take your assessment more than a couple of hours before the deadline. Technical problems can occur at any time.
- Do not cheat. Some instructors may put time limits on tests to prohibit students from looking up every answer in the book. Study ahead of time and access the test when you are ready.
- If you have a problem with your assessment and get locked out, contact your instructor.
